China Glaze Texture Review

The weekend is over. I am pretty sad about that! This weekend definitely flew by for me.
Today I have 4 of the China Glaze Texture polishes to show you. If you like the Textured trend, but not all the glitter, then these polishes are for you! If you are a glitter fanatic, you can see my review of the JulieG Gumdrops HERE and HERE.

I picked up 4 of these polishes at Sally's during their Buy 2 Get 1 Free sale.
Lets start with my least favorite of the bunch.

So, for some reason, I have been wanting a color this shade. I own nothing like it and kept getting attracted to it while at the store. This is Toe-Tally Textured. Maybe it would be an o.k. toe color, but this did not work with my skin tone. The orange was quite bright and was very much a tangerine-orange.

The CG Textures were a bit more gritty than any of the other texture polishes I own (JulieG, Zoya & BarryM). It is very obvious from these photos, that these are textured polishes.
I used 2 coats on all my swatches of these. I found that one coat didn't quite even out nicely, and the grit was sparse. 2 coats looked better and gave better texture coverage.

Bump & Grind is deep hot pink that leans towards red. It was a nice shade, but wasn't my favorite!
The formula on this was the same as Toe-Tally. It was dark enough to be a one coater, but I liked that 2 coats made it more textured.

The 2 other shades I purchased, I liked better than these 2.

Of Coarse! is a bright Cobalt/Sky blue. I like blue polishes, which is probably why I liked this one more than the others. This was a one coater, but like the above, 2 coats was better. All these polishes had an average dry time.

Next up was my absolute favorite.

This is Itty, Bitty, Gritty. A coral/melon shade. I need this color in a creme so badly. I loved the way this shade looked on my skin tone.

However, this collection wasn't my favorite. I thought I would like these better than the glitter texture lines, but I still strongly favor the JulieG Gumdrops.
Overall, I would pass on these and go with the glitter!

What do you think? Do you like Texture polishes with glitter or without?

  2. I know!!! That one was definitely more unique than the other texture polishes I have seen. Although, I am seeing photos of the Sally Hansen line pop up online and I am liking the pastels! There also seems to be a white which I think will be interesting
